A special place in the sanctuary is set up as a child-friendly play area for youngsters during worship.

First Baptist Church of East Rochester offers a friendly congregation, traditional hymns and a home church atmosphere. We have convenient off street parking. An elevator is available for anyone who might wish to use it.

Home for Angel Food Ministries

Angel Food Ministries is selling food boxes, filled with meat, vegetables, eggs, and much more for $31. The box can feed a family of four for about a week and a single senior for a month and it's quite a deal.

The food is all the same high quality one would purchase at a grocery store and families can also add on special boxes with steak and other meats for an additional price.

Angel Food Ministries started in 1994 in Georgia. Now the organization has sites in 36 states, including several here in the Rochester area, which allows the group to buy food at prices you can't find in the store.

"Because of the volume buying, we're able to negotiate the prices from the manufacturers so we can pass on the savings to the consumers,"

Unlike food pantries that offer emergency boxes for families in need, there are no applications to fill out or requirements to meet. The program is open to anyone, regardless of their income level or situation.

Angel Food Ministries usually serves about 500,000 families each month, but the number has been growing.
